Job description
Provide first-line maintenance and technical support, diagnosing and resolving faults across complex networks.
Respond promptly to interventions, ensuring service levels are met and faults are carried through to resolution.
Perform installation and commissioning of network infrastructure, including racks, metalwork, basket work, fibre, and copper cabling.
Conduct cable termination, dressing, labeling, continuity testing, and secure electrical connections (240v AC and -48v DC).
Lead and supervise internal and external field teams, providing direction and ensuring installation quality standards are met.
Act as lead engineer on projects, managing escalation of technical issues, producing high-quality project documentation, and supporting project management tasks.
Complete and maintain risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and HSE/SVSA inspections.
Provide coaching and hands-on training through workshops and lab sessions.
Monitor and audit field installation quality, plan rectification works, and implement improvement plans.
Maintain accurate documentation and reports, providing regular progress updates to line management.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, engineering quality standards, and health & safety requirements.
Build and maintain professional relationships, demonstrate flexibility to meet business requirements, and undertake ad hoc duties as needed.
