Placements24 seeks a Senior Field Development Engineer to join our client’s team in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The role blends subsurface and surface development to optimize new hydrocarbon field recovery within a hybrid work model.

You will lead field development concepts, integrate geology, reservoir and facilities data, perform economic evaluations, mentor engineers, and collaborate with partners and regulators. A degreed engineer with 8+ years in Oil & Gas is required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in field development or related roles within Oil & Gas.
• Proven experience integrating subsurface and surface aspects.
• Strong understanding of well design, production operations, and economic evaluation techniques.
• Proficiency with field development planning software and economic modeling tools.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

• Develop and evaluate field development concepts, including well strategies and facilities.
