Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to support the CRH Training Systems program at Patrick Space Force Base. You will perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustainment of OFTT and AVDTTs, lead fault isolation, and mentor junior engineers.

You will coordinate with engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, and program teams to resolve complex issues and support system certifications and demonstrations while ensuring compliance with safety and cyber standards.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in simulator maintenance, avionics, IT systems, or related field.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification required at hire.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, electronic, and computer systems.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux environments, basic networking.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, and technical orders.
• Experience using test equipment: multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal analyzers.
• Familiarity with AFTO forms and maintenance logs.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on CRH training devices.
• Lead fault isolation and root cause analysis across simulator subsystems.
• Support software updates and hardware modifications installation.
• Document maintenance actions in AFTO forms and program records.
• Analyze system performance data and improve reliability/availability.
• Provide technical leadership and training to junior engineers.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, and program teams.
• Support DMO events, system certifications, and customer demonstrations.
• Maintain compliance with technical orders, cyber, and safety standards.
