Job summary

Kitchell is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to join our Tucson, AZ team. You will supervise field activities, coordinate Trade Partners, ensure quality and site safety, and verify conformity with contract documents.

This role requires strong knowledge of construction processes and collaboration with Project Superintendents and inspectors. The position emphasizes on-site leadership, timely equipment and material delivery, and proactive coordination through daily reports and RFIs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of field experience with an associate's or higher degree, or 6 years without a degree.
• CPR certification.
• Fork Lift certification.
• Fall Protection certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge of project plans, specifications, schedules, and critical path elements.
• Coordinate field forces and assist the Project Superintendent as directed.
• Prepare and distribute Project Daily Reports with detailed progress by area for each Trade Partner.
• Review shop drawings for field coordination and coordinate approved drawings for crews.
• Build relationships with architects, engineers, and inspectors on the project.
• Assist in monthly Project Schedule updates and coordinate timely delivery of equipment and long-lead materials.
• Coordinate Trade Partner pre-installation meetings, mock-ups, and site orientation issues.
• Submit field coordination issues via RFIs for direction and resolution.
