Our client in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space seeks a Senior Field Engineer to lead on-site engineering for data center design and commissioning. You will partner with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve field issues, drive decisions, and keep work moving safely and efficiently.

The role emphasizes translating field lessons into design improvements for future projects and requires strong communication and safety focus.

Qualificações

• 5–7 years of on-site engineering experience on active projects in energy, power, heavy industrial, or similar environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Proven track record of persuading contractors and vendors to adjust plans without formal authority.
• Experience leading structured failure investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong written reporting and safety commitment.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Field Engineer, Data Center Design and Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will serve as the on-site engineering lead, ensuring construction and commissioning activities align with approved designs and project requirements. You will partner closely with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to resolve field issues, drive decisions, and keep work moving safely and efficiently. The position also plays a key role in investigating failures, documenting root causes, and translating field lessons into design improvements for future projects.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $320,000 – $405,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Act as the engineering presence on site, ensuring work aligns with approved designs.
• Maintain a prioritized list of open engineering issues and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Investigate failures by gathering evidence and identifying root causes.
• Ensure smooth commissioning by checking interfaces and driving decisions on RFIs and deviations.
• Incorporate field insights into design improvements for future projects.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience on active project sites in energy, power, heavy industrial, or similar environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Proven track record of persuading contractors and vendors to change course without formal authority.
• Experience leading structured failure investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong written communication skills for concise reporting.
• Commitment to safety and ability to halt unsafe work practices.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
