Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Field Service Engineer to own field support for startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement of critical data center infrastructure. This senior role partners with design, operations, and service providers to boost maintainability, safety, and performance from a remote location.

You will lead a team, shape the field service operating model, and drive high‑impact improvements while collaborating with OEMs for escalations and repairs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in critical electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical infrastructure.
• Deep technical expertise in either electrical or mechanical systems with troubleshooting skills across disciplines.
• Experience in building and leading field engineering or maintenance teams.
• Proven track record in high-severity troubleshooting and reliability improvement.
• Ability to interpret technical documents like schematics and control diagrams.
• Strong safety judgment with experience in formal maintenance procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

This role will own field support for startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement of critical infrastructure supporting large-scale operations. You will serve as a senior technical resource for electrical and mechanical systems, partnering closely with design, operations, and service providers to improve maintainability, safety, and performance. The position also plays a key role in shaping the field service operating model and developing a high-performing team.

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually
