Job summary

Sundt seeks an entry-level Field Engineer to assist the Project Engineer as a technical information source for the project. You will respond to drawings, specs, shop drawings, and change orders while aiding in writing change orders, RFIs, meeting minutes, and submittals review.

You will work with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain effective relationships. A clear path from Step I to Senior is provided based on experience and skill.

Qualifications

• Ability to assume responsibility and interface with others is essential.
• Entry-level position requiring a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and related tasks.
• Review and process submittals, change orders, RFIs, and budgets; support meeting minutes and reporting.
• Support project plan execution and ensure change management processes are followed.
• Assist with quantity tracking and cost control; maintain logs and daily reports.
• Coordinate BIM activities between subcontractors and designers as needed.
• Assist with LEED documentation and ORD updates.
• Provide lines, grades and layout for the project as required.
• Assist superintendents and help resolve field problems.
• Contribute to overall project safety culture and quality management.
