FlatironDragados in Morgan Hill, CA seeks a Field Engineer to lead field operations, ensuring construction work complies with engineering standards, codes and contract specifications. The role requires active collaboration with project crews to align on schedules and resources.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and data, providing input for work plans, monitoring costs and timelines, and coordinating with subcontractors and supervisors to maintain quality and progress on site.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 1+ year of experience preferred.
• Construction engineering experience or knowledge is required.
• Beginner knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawing and specifications, building materials, and applicable standards.

Responsabilidades

• Meets daily with project crews to review the production schedule and confirm materials, equipment and resources are available to keep production on schedule and within budget.
• Collects, coordinates and analyzes shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data to ensure quality and compliance.
• Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling; identifies risk elements that could impact budget or schedule.
• Evaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections and documents activities.
• Remits accurate project quantity input and controls using project cost coding; cooperates with finance and accounting on time, materials, equipment and subcontractor needs.
• Reviews and approves daily timecards; collaborates with Office Manager, payroll and supervisors to resolve inquiries.
• Reviews project specifications for quality assurance; initiates and manages certificates, inspections and other documentation.
• Plans field layout with crews and engineering leaders; marks utility and commercial lines; initiates permits as needed.
• Assists development of design drawings and provides technical input.
• Coordinates subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews.
