Job summary

V2X Inc in Indianapolis seeks a Field Engineer/Technician to assemble, test, and integrate prototype aerospace systems in lab and field, using FAA A&P, IPC-WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001, and 1-1A-14 standards. You will read drawings, troubleshoot, and provide feedback to design teams, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance on both lab and field installations.

US citizenship is required and you must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD secret clearance. Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Aviation Technology or related STEM field; 4+ years maintenance/upgrade on aircraft preferred.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred.
IPC-620 training preferred.

Responsibilities

Build and assemble prototype mechanical and electrical hardware in lab settings.
Install, integrate, and troubleshoot prototype hardware at lab or field locations.
Modify components, route wiring, and perform mechanical mounting.
Troubleshoot aircraft systems to meet safety and performance standards.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Support system-level testing and verification; document findings.
