Job summary

SA-TECH is seeking a General Technician at NAS Patuxent River, MD. The role supports wiring, electronics, drafting, instrumentation, and testing with guidance from senior techs. The candidate will gather materials, deliver to work sites, and assist engineers to ensure project progress.

Expect early responsibilities in flight-related instrumentation, adherence to safety and security protocols, and occasional travel to test facilities. A DoD contractor with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification within 60 days.
• Basic knowledge of electronics, small circuits and general tool use.
• Basic MS Office skills are a plus.
• Ability to work well with people.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable for company vehicles.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Preflight and postflight support for F-35 platform components and ground equipment.
• Wire instrumentation packages and platforms following procedures.
• Assist instrumentation operations engineers with installation, calibration and testing.
• Support on-aircraft ground testing and data handling.
• Work in Instrumentation Lab and adhere to safety and security policies.
