Job summary

Textron Inc. is seeking a Flight Test Instrumentation Technician at Pax River, MD to support test programs for V-22 and related programs. You will install, calibrate, and troubleshoot ADAS, work with IPTs, and ensure safe data acquisition during flight tests.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in electronics or related field and 3+ years in a flight test/instrumentation setting, with ability to obtain DoD clearance and travel up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related Field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, including short off-site assignments.
• Must be able to work overtime as required in the Flight Test environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, maintain, and operate an Airborne Data Acquisition System (ADAS) for flight and ground tests.
• Perform daily instrumentation preflight checks and ADAS software loads.
• Provide guidance to Electricians and Mechanics on installations and repairs.
• Fabricate electrical boxes for ADAS or data simulation/validation.
• Maintain inventory and create trouble reports for hardware.
• Document work on RFAs and in Electronic Workbook.
