Job summary

Oxy is looking for an Operational Electrical Engineer primarily based in Denver, CO to provide comprehensive support for field electrical infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and project support for electrical systems.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 8 years of experience in the field, along with robust skills in power distribution and electrical safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years of direct field experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive electrical engineering support for power distribution equipment.
• Collaborate in design phase for projects and perform various technical studies.
• Manage factory acceptance testing and facilitate start-up procedures.

Skills

Commissioning electrical projects and substations up to 230kV

Knowledge of power electronics and motor controls

Expertise in relay settings and programming

Exceptional communication skills

Strong analytical capabilities

Thorough understanding of electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E)

Skilled in load transfer and switching

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
