The role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancement of electrical systems in a field-based setting. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and at least 8 years of experience.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $117,600 to $161,700 annually and requires significant fieldwork, potentially up to 200 miles travel from the home base.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years of direct field experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive electrical engineering support for power distribution equipment.
• Collaborate in the design phase for projects, performing various studies.
• Develop and validate protective relay programs for specific relays.
• Offer expertise for solid state power electronic devices.
• Conduct system modeling to optimize efficiency in distribution networks.

Skills

Commissioning electrical projects and substations up to 230kV

Knowledge of power electronics and motor controls

Expertise in relay settings and programming

Experience with large motors

Exceptional communication skills

Analytical capabilities

Familiarity with root cause analysis

Understanding of electrical safety standards

Calculating arc flash hazards

Load transfer and switching at high voltages
