Job summary

Terawatt Infrastructure in the United States seeks a Field Electrical Engineer to lead construction, commissioning, energization, and ongoing operation of EV charging sites across North America. You’ll work with senior engineers to adapt solutions in dynamic field conditions and guide the project through critical milestones.

You will evaluate field information, collaborate with contractors, utility engineers, and AHJs, and ensure safe, compliant operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related electrical field with strong design and field expertise.
• Experience with medium- and low-voltage systems and EV charging concepts.
• Knowledge of NEC, UL, IEEE standards and local electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate field conditions against drawings and diagrams to determine deviations or design changes.
• Serve as the field owner during FAT and testing of equipment such as switchgear and transformers.
• Assess energization readiness and make go/no-go decisions, escalating risks as needed.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues on active sites with Field Service teams.
• Analyze deviations and determine required design revisions or documentation.
• Ensure smooth handoff from commissioning to operations with proper handover packages.
• Maintain compliance with NEC/UL/IEEE and local codes during site reviews.
• Manage field engineering across multiple sites and report progress and risks.
