Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Lead Field Control Specialist to oversee field control system commissioning, startup, and outage support for utilities, hospitals, universities, and manufacturing facilities.

The role covers Rockwell ControlLogix, AVEVA System Platform, Wonderware InTouch HMIs, and DCS platforms such as DeltaV and ABB, with substantial on-site travel. You will lead instrumentation installation, loop checks, calibration, and testing, while producing compliant commissioning reports and

Qualifications

10+ years of field controls, commissioning, startup experience.
Experience with PLC- and DCS-based control systems in industrial settings.
Proficient with instrumentation installation, loop checks, and calibration.
Knowledge of boiler/power plant combustion testing and tuning.
Strong safety culture and ability to travel to sites.
OSHA 30-hour training completed.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute field control system commissioning, startup, and outage support.
Serve as field technical authority for PLC- and DCS-based systems (Rockwell, AVEVA, DeltaV, ABB).
Plan and perform instrumentation installation verification, loop checks, and calibration.
Produce commissioning reports and as-built deliverables meeting standards.
Coordinate with operations staff, vendors, and contractors onsite.
