Job summary

E Tech Group, a leading engineering and system integration firm, seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to design, deploy, test, and maintain control system projects for life sciences, mission critical, and industrial facilities from Ashburn, VA. You will collaborate with customers and teams, perform commissioning, and lead system start-ups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in the control system industry.
• Able to work independently on projects with an organized, methodical approach.
• Basic understanding of control system network topologies.
• Instrumentation calibration/startup experience.
• Experience commissioning in live environments.
• Willingness to travel 30-50% (mostly local with remote support).
• DNA of collaboration and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support project work from design through implementation.
• Develop/modify design documentation, procedures, and sequences.
• Perform quality checks and bench testing of PLC, HMI, & SCADA programs.
• Provide onsite and remote commissioning support and system design changes.
• Coordinate with installation teams to monitor progress and QA/QC.
• Travel as needed to participate in design, development and start-up at client facilities.
• Represent the company values and support client success and staff development.
