Job summary

Next150 Construction in the Carolinas is seeking a Lead Construction Superintendent to oversee a major scope of the project in a standalone capacity. You will provide field leadership to ensure work aligns with approved scope, safety, quality, schedule, and budget, coordinating with the General Superintendent to plan and monitor activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• 7-10 years of experience on $15M+ commercial/industrial construction projects in a superintendent role.
• OSHA 30 hour certification.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day execution and coordination of assigned trades to ensure safe, high-quality production.
• Develops and communicates detailed work plans and ensures field changes are reviewed and authorized.
• Maintains understanding of contract documents to plan work and anticipate issues.
• Ensures permits, inspections, and compliance documentation are secured.
• Leads safety and quality control, conducts contractor meetings, and coordinates with field leadership.
• Keeps daily field reports and safety documentation up to date.
• Plans scopes, schedules, and logistics for jobsite.
• Tracks production, labor hours, and productivity; supports cost forecasting.
• Trains direct reports and manages workload and performance.
• Fosters a positive, inclusive work environment.
