Job summary

Pepper Construction Group seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial projects in Hobart, IN. You will drive safety, schedule adherence, and quality control, coordinating with field personnel, subcontractors, and project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of field management experience, strong leadership, and the ability to travel within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred; equivalent field experience considered.
• 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction activities in the field.
• Experience with scheduling, manpower planning, quality control, and jobsite safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, including short-interval planning.
• Coordinate and supervise Pepper field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and specialty trades.
• Plan manpower requirements and manage labor resources effectively.
• Monitor project progress, proactively identify challenges, and implement solutions.
• Maintain strong coordination with Project Managers and other project stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and building systems, including MEP coordination.
