Job summary

S&B in Houston is seeking a Construction Manager to direct field construction projects and provide overall management direction for site work. The role involves coordinating with Superintendents, engineers, and clients to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The candidate should have a four-year degree in Construction Management and at least 10 years of experience managing large-scale projects, with responsibility for safety, cost control, and labor relations across multiple crafts.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a Construction Manager role.
• Ability to manage projects varying size and complexity.
• Experience managing 2MM–3.5MM manhours with direct hire scope.
• Strong cost and schedule adherence; tact, diplomacy, and influence.

Responsibilities

• Report to AOM, VP of Field Operations, and Sr. VP of EPC and Construction.
• Plan, organize and staff key field positions through department heads.
• Provide safety leadership to achieve zero injuries.
• Set project objectives, policies, and performance standards.
• Liaise with prime client and engineers to facilitate construction activities.
• Monitor on-site construction to keep schedule and budget; implement corrective actions for delays.
• Represent the company in project meetings and labor negotiations.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company interests.
