Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks a Sr. Commissioning Engineer - Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls to lead field commissioning across North America.

This role requires 70% travel and hands-on ownership from pre-commissioning through start-up and handover. You will verify systems in waste-to-energy and renewable facilities, coordinate with project teams, perform test protocols, and ensure safety, quality, and operational readiness in active industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on commissioning and start-up experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% across North America.
• Ability to read P&IDs, schematics, and control drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning plans, procedures, schedules, checklists, and test protocols.
• Coordinate onsite commissioning from pre-commissioning through SAT and handover.
• Verify mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control system readiness.
• Develop and review test protocols and punch lists.
• Ensure safety and risk management in industrial environments.
• Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and client representatives.
