- Develop and execute commissioning procedures, checklists, test protocols, and schedules.
- Verify mechanical completion and system readiness prior to start-up.
- Perform equipment checkout, calibration verification, loop checks, I/O checks, functional testing, and SATs.
- Support dry and wet commissioning of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, automation, and process systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment, process, instrumentation, PLC/HMI/SCADA, and control-system issues.
- Coordinate daily activities with construction teams, automation engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and client personnel.
- Track commissioning progress, punch-list items, technical issues, and corrective actions.
- Support operator training, operational readiness, turnover documentation, and final project handover.
- Ensure commissioning activities comply with project requirements and safety procedures, including LOTO, JHAs, and risk assessments.
Ideal Candidate

- Background in renewable energy, biogas/RNG, wastewater treatment, waste-to-energy, power generation, chemical/process plants, or similar industrial facilities.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation systems.
- Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation, loop checks, I/O testing, and functional testing.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, electrical drawings, and control schematics.
- Strong field troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently in an active construction/start-up environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred; equivalent technical education and relevant commissioning experience considered.
- Ability to travel to project sites throughout North America.
