Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Commissioning Engineer - Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls to lead field commissioning for waste-to-energy and renewable energy plants across North America.

This hands-on role requires coordinating pre-commissioning through handover, performing tests, and ensuring safe, reliable operations. You will work with P&IDs, control schematics, and documentation, travel up to 70% and collaborate with project teams to drive successful

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years hands-on commissioning/start-up experience.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% in North America.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and test protocols.
• Coordinate onsite commissioning through start-up, SAT, and handover.
• Verify mechanical completion and system readiness before commissioning.
• Troubleshoot equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Maintain documentation, test reports, and punch lists.
• Promote safety and risk management in industrial environments.
