Job summary

Diversified in the SF Bay Area is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to lead commissioning of complex audiovisual and networking systems. The role requires hands-on testing, tuning, and validation of equipment to meet design intent, with onsite travel to customer sites and remote collaboration with programmers.

The SFE will mentor junior field engineers, coordinate field activities, and provide remote support to resolve issues. Local candidates only; virtual position within the SF Bay Area.

Qualifications

• DSP Q-SYS Level 2 certification is required.
• 5 years AV Field Engineer experience.
• Network configuration and deployment experience with AVoIP.
• Field installation and/or system design experience is desirable.
• In-depth experience with audio, video and network-based systems and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills and good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Commission systems in the field and optimize equipment settings to meet design intent.
• Coordinate with the system programmer to ensure the control system functions smoothly; remote support may be required.
• Lead project teams on large deployments when needed.
• Provide simple code and touch panel updates under programmer guidance.
• Stay current with technology, firmware updates, and common field issues.
• Diagnose and resolve known and found issues and formulate solutions.
• Mentor and provide remote assistance to other field engineers.
