Job summary

RNInk is seeking an Assistant Technical Applications Manager to lead hands-on technical work across engineering, automation, and customer support. You will interface with customers, design and validate control systems, and guide project execution from review through commissioning.

The role combines office engineering with field deployment in demanding industrial settings, offering opportunities to influence product development and field-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in applications engineering, controls, automation, field engineering, or related technical environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with installations, startup, commissioning, and field support.
• Experience programming/troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical resource for gas detection, automation, and control system applications.
• Lead system design activities including control architecture and automation strategies.
• Configure, program, troubleshoot, and support PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Manage technical projects from concept through commissioning and support.
• Develop technical proposals, system documentation, and operating manuals.
• Provide on-site commissioning, training, and post-sale support.
• Mentor application engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
