Job summary
Talent With Heart is seeking an experienced Assistant Technical Applications Manager to bridge engineering, automation, and customer support in industrial gas detection and monitoring systems. You will design, test, and deploy control solutions, support field operations, and mentor junior engineers.
The role combines office engineering with hands-on field work across demanding environments, requiring travel for commissioning and support.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in applications engineering, controls, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with installations, startup, commissioning, and field support.
- Experience programming/troubleshooting AB and/or IDEC PLCs and HMIs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as senior technical resource for gas detection, automation, and control systems.
- Lead system design: control architecture, automation strategies, communications, instrumentation, and integration.
- Configure, program, troubleshoot, and support PLCs, HMIs, networks, and communications.
- Manage projects from concept through commissioning and support.
- Provide on-site commissioning and customer training.
- Develop proposals, system docs, and manuals.
- Drive product improvements with engineering teams.
