Job summary

LRSolutions, LLC is seeking an Assistant Technical Applications Manager to lead hands-on engineering efforts in industrial gas detection, automation, and control systems. You will work with customers and internal teams through design, programming, testing, and commissioning, ensuring robust solutions in demanding environments.

This role blends office engineering with field support, requiring travel for commissioning and training.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in applications engineering, controls, automation, or field engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer-site support.
• Experience programming/troubleshooting Allen-Bradley and/or IDEC PLCs and HMIs.
• Knowledge of Modbus RTU/TCP and electrical signaling (4–20mA, 0–5V, 0–10V).
• Ability to safely perform measurements in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical resource for gas detection, automation, and control system applications.
• Lead system design activities: control architecture, automation strategies, communications, instrumentation, integration.
• Configure, program, troubleshoot, and support PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Manage projects from design through commissioning and support.
• Provide on-site commissioning, startup assistance, troubleshooting, and customer training.
• Develop proposals, system documentation, and operating manuals.
• Drive continuous improvement in product quality and customer satisfaction.
