Job summary

Bosch USA in Sunnyvale, CA seeks an experienced engineer to be the primary technical contact for customers, guiding design-in for sensors and power electronics. You will coordinate with global Bosch teams to resolve complex issues, capture customer requirements, and drive successful product development through SOP and production phases.

The role requires deep semiconductor and automotive electronics knowledge, strong communication, and travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
5+ years in design/applications engineering role.
Strong verbal and written communication; ability to build relationships quickly.
5+ years with semiconductors, MEMS, ECMs, automotive electronics domain.
Willingness to travel nationally/internationally; possible 2 weeks in Germany.

Responsibilities

Serve as first technical contact for customers; provide feedback and solutions per product materials.
Coordinate with PAS/PAI/PAP teams to obtain information and inform customers.
Assist customers in correctly designing Bosch products using application knowledge.
Lead technical customer meetings and document the OPL when needed.
Capture customer requirements and relay to Bosch teams including PM.
Support quality issues during development and before SOP.
Build relationships with engineering teams to support customers.
Lead pre-selling technical presentations and provide market insights.
Develop local customer communication in the native language.
Coordinate and support PPAP activities as required.
Ensure technical satisfaction from first engagement through design-in and series production.
Assist in sample warehouse coordination for components and development kits.
