Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) seeks a Senior Field Applications Engineer to be the primary technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams. This is an engineering-first role with a strong commercial focus, partnering with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to identify needs and drive design wins from concept through production.

The ideal candidate is a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with 5+ years in FAE or related roles, proficient in Creo or SolidWorks,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
5+ years in FAE, design engineering, or similar.
Strong knowledge of connectors and interconnect systems.
Experience with CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary technical contact for assigned accounts with cross-functional teams.
Partner with Regional Sales to identify and develop new opportunities.
Drive design wins by understanding customer applications and recommending Amphenol solutions.
Support the product development cycle from concept through production.
Collaborate to develop customized solutions meeting requirements.
Conduct customer visits, presentations, demos, and design reviews.
Provide guidance on connector products and application support.
Review drawings with Creo/SolidWorks CAD tools.
Influence design decisions by highlighting technical advantages.
Support product launches and relay feedback to engineering.
Monitor industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
Travel regularly to customer sites to strengthen relationships.
