Job summary

ATUM is seeking a highly motivated Technical Field Applications Scientist to join our team in the United States. The FAS serves as a client-facing subject matter expert, delivering technical and scientific support across licensing, gene synthesis, protein expression, and Cell Line Development (CLD).

This role translates ATUM's platform capabilities into differentiated value for prospective and existing customers and licensees.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years as Field Applications Scientist, technical sales, or R&D in life sciences.
• Deep knowledge in biologics/drug development and mammalian cell culture.
• Strong consultative selling and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent scientific and business communication skills; travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary scientific liaison for customers and licensees.
• Provide technical guidance on gene design, transient expression, and CLD.
• Support licensees on vector design and cell line development feasibility.
• Coordinate tech transfer protocols, data packages, and presentations.
• Manage projects and interactions in LIMS/CRM; support deal strategy.
