Job summary

ATUM is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist for its Cell Line Development team. This bench-heavy role focuses on applying molecular biology, CRISPR, and gene editing to optimize CHO host cell lines for recombinant protein production.

The ideal candidate will bring a Ph.D. in a life sciences field and hands-on expertise in CRISPR, vector design, and cell line engineering, coupled with strong communication skills to collaborate across matrix teams.

Qualifications

• Proven mastery of CRISPR and gene editing tools.
• Strong foundation in core molecular biology techniques.
• Solid understanding of cell biology fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Bench-Heavy Laboratory Execution: conduct hands-on molecular biology and cell line experiments.
• Design and execute CRISPR/Cas9 strategies for host cell engineering and gene edits.
• Design expression vectors and optimize protein production in CHO cells.
• Investigate gene integration, transcription, translation, and secretion mechanisms.
• Collaborate across molecular biology, bioinformatics, and analytics teams.
• Present findings clearly in meetings and prepare technical reports.
• Plan and perform rigorous experiments with proper ELN documentation.
