Job summary

INFICON is seeking a Senior Field Applications Engineer to lead first-of-a-kind installations and complex multi-site deployments. The role combines project ownership, technical mentorship, and direct customer engagement across semiconductor and instrumentation sectors.

You will design and execute DOEs, present findings to engineering teams, and travel domestically up to 70% with occasional international assignments to support key customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical engineering, Physics or related technical field.
• 4–7 years of field applications or systems engineering experience in semiconductor or instrumentation industries.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% domestically, with occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Own first-of-a-kind (FoaK) product installations end-to-end from site prep to qualification and sign-off.
• Serve as project manager and primary technical owner for customer demos: define success criteria, manage timeline and resources, deliver results.
• Design and lead DOE activities with customers and INFICON R&D teams.
• Drive cross-site standardization and SOP leadership for fleet-wide deployments.
• Mentor and develop Field Applications Engineers through coaching and project work.
