Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Field Applications Engineer to lead demonstrations and testing at customer sites, provide on-site fiber optics support, and assist with installation and configuration.

The role interacts with design teams to implement custom requests and conduct failure analyses while maintaining strong customer relationships. The candidate should have a deep fiber optics background with 10+ years in the industry, strong communication, and willingness to

Qualifications

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Fiber Optics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of work experience in Fiber Optics Industry, including hands-on experience on fiber optic module design/testing.
Experience in design Optics Module is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead product demonstration and testing at customer sites.
Provide technical support on-site for Fiber Optics applications.
Assist customers with installation and configuration.
Partner with Design Team on understanding/implementing custom design request.
Conduct Failure Analysis, identify root cause, and conclude with corrective actions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customer's design/testing team.
