Job summary

INFICON is seeking a Senior Field Applications Engineer to lead first-of-a-kind installations, demos, and multi-site deployments. This role operates with high autonomy, manages demo programs, and mentors Field Applications Engineers across customer sites in a demanding semiconductor environment.

Key responsibilities include end-to-end FoaK installations, DOE design with customers and R&D, and cross-site standardization. Travel up to 70% domestically with occasional international trips.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
• 4–7 years of field applications or systems engineering in semiconductor or instrumentation.
• Experience owning complex technical projects from initiation through sign-off.
• Experience presenting technical findings to customer engineering teams and management.
• Strong data analysis and technical presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% domestically, with occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Own first-of-a-kind product installations end-to-end—from site prep to qualification and sign-off.
• Lead customer demos: define success, manage timeline/resources, execute installation and DOE, deliver results.
• Design and lead DOE activities with customers and INFICON R&D teams.
• Drive cross-site standardization and SOP leadership for fleet-wide deployments across multiple facilities.
• Manage multi-site installation and qualification projects with schedule and resources.
• Present demo results and technical findings to customer engineers and section managers.
• Contribute to 1–2 major strategic projects annually (new product evaluations, cross-functional initiatives).
• Mentor Field Applications Engineers through coaching and project work.
