Job summary

Menlo Microsystems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Field Applications Engineer to support successful sales conversions through pre‑sales activities and precise product specifications tailored to customer needs.

You will design field training materials, conduct technical sessions for the sales team, and coordinate with engineering, product management, and regional teams to ensure smooth deployment and credible demonstrations in seminars and customer meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering and 10+ years in semiconductor customer support.
• Ability to interact with customers at Engineering, FAE, Sales, Procurement, Product Management, Supply Chain or C-level.
• Strong teamwork, proactive attitude and professional conduct.
• Ability to work in a global and diverse environment.
• Willingness to learn and improve.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and assist in sales and service requests.
• Analyze system problems in installed applications and implement resolutions.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering and product teams to gather accurate usage information.
• Prepare technical proposals and define solution guidelines for the sales team.
• Assist customers with product evaluations and provide design models for simulations.
• Troubleshoot applications, follow up with customers, and identify new sales opportunities.
• Prepare records for product presentations and conduct training on new products.
• Coordinate with teams to design application systems per customer needs.
• Review customer drawings and BOMs, suggesting improvements to support solutions.
• Provide market intelligence and technical input for future products.
• Support tests, installation procedures, and market trend analysis for new products.
• Set up demonstrations at events to showcase product capabilities.
• Deliver technical training on consumer-specific applications to branch personnel.
• Serve as main contact for customer failure analysis and applications support.
