Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) seeks a Senior Field Applications Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 5+ years in Field Applications/Design Engineering or similar customer-facing role.
• Strong knowledge of connectors, interconnect systems, and related electromechanical products.
• Experience guiding customers through design, qualification, validation, and production.
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly; strong presentation skills.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks; comfortable reviewing drawings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for assigned customer accounts; build relationships with engineering, purchasing, and program management.
• Partner with Regional Sales Managers to identify, develop, and close opportunities.
• Drive design wins by understanding customer applications and recommending Amphenol solutions.
• Support customers through full product development cycle from concept to production.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Manufacturing to create customized solutions.
• Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and design reviews.
• Provide guidance on connector selection, design optimization, and application support.
• Review customer drawings and specifications using CAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks).
• Capture customer feedback and communicate to internal teams for product development.
