Job summary

Amphenol Corporation's Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) seeks a Senior Field Applications Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams. This engineering-first role combines deep product knowledge with a strong business sense to drive design wins from concept through production.

The successful candidate will engage customers, translate requirements into solutions, and collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in Field Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, Technical Sales, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of connectors/interconnect systems and related products.
• Experience guiding product design through qualification, validation and production.
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts and build relationships.
• Experience with CAD software such as Creo or SolidWorks.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for assigned customer accounts, collaborating with engineering and program management teams.
• Partner with Regional Sales Managers to identify and close new opportunities.
• Drive technical design wins by understanding applications and recommending Amphenol solutions.
• Support customers through the product development cycle from concept to production.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Manufacturing on customized solutions.
• Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and design reviews.
• Provide guidance on connector and interconnect products and assist with design optimization.
