Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 12+ years of field application experience.
• Experience with wireless communications systems (hardware and software).
• Experience with Python/Perl/Shell preferred.
• Experience with tier-1 and OEM customers.
• Must be able to work from the Synaptics San Jose office.
• Frequent travel up to 20% to customer sites or industry events.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales and BUs to promote our Compute and Connectivity solutions to customers.
• Provide technical training sessions for customers on MCU processors.
• Lead design workshops to port customer applications to Synaptics processors.
• Port and integrate drivers into customer platforms and perform system integration.
• Manage technical issues with the BU and drive them to resolution.
• Troubleshoot issues onsite at customer sites.
• Develop deep expertise in Synaptics products and stay current on features.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
• Gather customer feedback for product improvement and roadmap input.
• Understand embedded product lifecycle and MCU development environments.
• Familiar with Yocto Linux based embedded systems and common interfaces.
• Understand RF transmitter/receiver basics; work with Linux and freeRTOS hosts.
