Job summary

Clearwave Fiber LLC is seeking a results-driven Fiber Installation Repair Technician to deliver high-quality service and customer delight. You will splice, maintain and repair underground, direct bury, and aerial fiber connections and install services at customer premises with strong adherence to safety and standards.

You will interact with customers and colleagues, operate test equipment and hand tools, and travel to job sites as required to ensure timely and accurate installations and repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years in telecommunications (Fiber Optic, Telephone, CATV).
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees and management.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Splice/terminate fiber optic cable per procedures and specs.
• Maintain, test, and measure fiber optic signal strength from street to house.
• Install telecom services by connecting correct cables, installing drops, wiring, and customer premises equipment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, staff, and managers; build cooperative relationships.
• Operate hand tools and test equipment (OPM, VOM) safely.
• Maintain vaults and taps and report maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Travel to sites as needed via company vehicle; comply with safety rules and traffic laws.
• Access cables and equipment via ladders, crawlspaces, attics, and other access points; work in challenging conditions.
