Fervo seeks a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to own physical network planning, records, and acceptance for outdoor fiber, indoor fiber, and copper cabling, including networks, pathways, and rooms. The role reports to IT Infrastructure Manager and requires travel up to 30% during construction.

You will collaborate with IT, OT/I&C, sensing, and construction teams to design, review, and implement fiber and copper infrastructure, ensuring documentation and compliance across the enterprise.

Formación

• 7+ years in telecommunications infrastructure with OSP fiber and cabling.
• Experience building or running a fiber records program.
• Ability to design pathways, spaces, racks, and cabling with GIS/CAD.
• Knowledge of TIA/BICSI standards and cabling practices.
• Ability to interpret OTDR traces and copper certification reports.

Responsabilidades

• Own authoritative fiber management system and GIS records.
• Build the infrastructure records program with stakeholders; establish baselines.
• Require contractor as-builts within 10 business days of construction.
• Document splices, reroutes, and changes through change control.
• Reconcile records with physical infrastructure at least annually.
