Job summary

Fervo Energy seeks a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to own physical network planning and records. You will manage OSP/ISP fiber, copper cabling, and passive infrastructure across IT, OT/I&C, and sensing teams, with travel to construction sites.

You will lead contractor oversight, manage change control, and ensure accurate documentation while reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager. Based in Houston or Salt Lake City with ~30% travel.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of telecommunications infrastructure experience including fiber design and field construction ownership.
• Experience building or running a fiber records program using GIS as the authoritative record.
• Experience designing pathways, spaces, racks, and passive connectivity using GIS and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the authoritative fiber management system and GIS records and ensure accuracy.
• Plan and design shared OSP/ISP fiber and copper infrastructure with cross-functional teams.
• Direct contractors through detailed design and construction, and oversee delivery and acceptance.
• Diagnose faults, coordinate field work, and maintain audit-ready change documentation.
