Ziply Fiber is seeking a Senior Manager of Engineering to lead teams responsible for scalable fiber network designs and construction-ready deliverables. You will drive strategy, manage internal and external partners, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

The role emphasizes leadership, vendor management, and ongoing innovation to enable large-scale deployments and long-term network sustainability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of progressive fiber network engineering experience, including pre-construction activities.
• 3+ years in a leadership/people management role.
• Experience with large-scale fiber design, route planning, and construction-ready deliverables.
• Knowledge of permitting processes, regulatory requirements, and compliance for fiber deployments.
• Familiarity with GIS, CAD, and network documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end program direction across cross-functional teams.
• Develop and execute fiber engineering design strategy aligned with expansion goals.
• Oversee design processes including route planning, permitting, and compliance.
• Lead engineering managers, designers, and staff to deliver designs on schedule.
• Manage external vendors and ensure adherence to standards and timelines.
• Drive process improvements, innovation, and performance metrics.
