Job summary

Ziply Fiber is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering to lead teams designing and delivering scalable fiber networks. You will manage internal and external partners, set design standards, and drive innovation to support nationwide deployment and regulatory compliance.

This role requires leadership, strong technical background in GIS/CAD, vendor management, and the ability to align engineering work with business goals. Occasional travel and a focus on safety and quality are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years in fiber network engineering and pre-construction activities.
• 3+ years in leadership/people management with mentoring experience.
• Experience with permitting, route planning, and construction-ready deliverables.
• Knowledge of GIS, CAD, asset management systems, and workflows.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and communicate with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end program direction across multiple teams.
• Develop fiber engineering design strategy aligned with expansion goals.
• Oversee design processes: routing, permitting, regulatory compliance.
• Ensure designs are scalable, cost-efficient, and maintainable.
• Lead and mentor engineering managers, designers, and staff.
• Manage external vendors and contractors to align with standards.
• Drive process improvement, innovation, and performance metrics.
