Job summary

Ziply Fiber seeks a Senior Manager, Engineering to lead teams designing scalable fiber networks and overseeing the end-to-end engineering design process. You will manage internal and external partners, drive innovation, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering construction-ready designs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in fiber network engineering, including quoting, permitting, and pre-construction activities.
• 3+ years in a leadership/people management capacity.
• Experience managing internal teams and third‑party engineering vendors.
• Knowledge of permitting processes, regulatory requirements, and compliance for fiber deployments.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end program direction to organize, develop, and execute a program build across multiple functional teams.
• Develop and execute fiber engineering design strategy aligned with expansion and deployment goals.
• Oversee end-to-end design processes including route planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and mentor engineering managers, designers, and staff to deliver high-quality network designs.
• Coordinate with construction, operations, product, and finance teams to align engineering design with deployment readiness.
