Job summary

Town of Addison, under the Director of Special Events & Theatre, seeks an experienced events professional to develop and implement large-scale festivals and events in Addison. You will lead department staff, coordinate volunteers, and manage contracts and vendors.

Responsibilities include budgeting, social media and marketing content, safety coordination with City departments, and cultivating partnerships with local arts groups; occasional evening/weekend work required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Event Management, Marketing or related field; AND
• Four (4) years of event or festival planning experience; OR
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements large-scale festivals and events.
• Manages logistics to meet deadlines and ensure safety and compliance.
• Oversees event staffing and volunteers; supervises the Special Event Coordinators.
• Assists with budgets, revenues and expenditures; maintains financial policies.
• Develops content for social media, websites and marketing materials.
• Secures bids, contracts and partnerships with contractors and sponsors.
• Manages Theatre programming for Town produced events; coordinates with multiple departments.
