Job summary

DMC Biotechnologies is seeking a Research Associate to join our Fermentation team in RTP, NC. You will work on bench-scale strain and process performance, assist with bioreactor setup and monitoring, and report results to the team.

This 12-month grant-funded position is on-site in Morrisville/RTP, NC, offering collaboration across disciplines and opportunities to contribute to advancing our fermentation platform.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: Laboratory: 1 year (Required).
• Preferred: experience in fermentation, aseptic technique, DoE, LabGuru ELN, Python.

Responsibilities

• Bioreactor setup, monitoring, and turnaround.
• Analyze, summarize, and report on experiments.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain laboratory records and quality tracking.
• Maintain safe practices and work environment.
