Job summary

The Regents of the University of California on behalf of their Los Angeles Campus seeks a Senior Fellowship, Scholarship and Training Grant Administrator to provide advanced analytical and administrative support for pre- and post-award management of fellowships, training grants, and student scholarships across the biology units within the Division of Life Sciences.

Based in the Life Sciences Dean's Office at UCLA, the role requires independent judgment, strong analytical and problem-solving

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a financial manager and contract/grant administrator for federal/state/private awards.
• Strong student affairs experience; ability to collaborate with faculty, students, staff, and stakeholders.
• Thorough knowledge of research administration guidelines for Federal/non-Federal sponsors.
• Advanced skill in analyzing complex financial data to identify problems and formulate solutions.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, university, and sponsor regulations.
• Manage multi-year training grant budgets and reporting.
• Develop standardized procedures to enhance operational consistency.
• Collaborate with faculty, fund managers, finance supervisors, personnel/payroll analysts, and student affairs officers.
• Monitor and administer fellowship, training grant, and scholarship awards.
