Job summary

UCLA Life Sciences Division seeks a Senior Fellowship, Scholarship and Training Grant Administrator to manage pre- and post-award activities for fellowships, training grants, and student scholarships across seven departments, seven interdepartmental programs, three institutes, and nine centers.

You will ensure compliance with sponsor regulations, manage multi-year budgets, and develop standardized procedures to improve operational consistency and reporting across the division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field or equivalent experience
• Experience in contract and grant administration in academic setting preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex multi-year budgets and reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for financial data
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Oversee pre- and post-award management of fellowships, training grants, and scholar­ship programs across biology units.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, university, and sponsor regulations.
• Develop standardized procedures to improve operational consistency across departments.
• Prepare financial reports for executive management including trends and forecasts.
• Collaborate with faculty, fund managers, finance supervisors, and student affairs officers to allocate sponsored awards.
