Job summary

Five Rivers Cattle Feeding is seeking an Aides General Manager to support the General Manager by delegating operational requirements to the management team and following up on results. You will oversee the feedlot management team in the GM’s absence and help ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

The role requires an undergraduate degree in a related field and 3 years of feedlot experience with strong supervisory skills.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Animal Science, Ag Economics or related field plus 3 years feedlot experience or equivalent.
Supervisory experience required.
Knowledge of basic business/accounting concepts.
Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver’s license and ability to read safety rules and operating instructions.
Strong problem-solving and mathematical reasoning skills.
Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.

Responsibilities

Oversee Feed Lot management team and delegate responsibilities; follow up on work results.
Coordinate procurement of commodities (corn, feed, supplements) and liaise with suppliers.
Schedule shipment of fed cattle to packer and ensure cattle readiness.
Ensure compliance with state/federal laws and company policies; monitor safety practices.
Develop and coach management staff; identify training opportunities and growth paths.
