Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Animal Science or Ag Economics or related field, and 3 years feedlot experience or training; or equivalent combination.
Supervisory experience in a team environment.
Knowledge of basic business accounting.
Knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Database software.
Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

Assist and oversee feedlot management team; delegate tasks and follow up results.
Coordinate purchases of commodities and establish supplier rapport.
Schedule shipments of fed cattle to packer and monitor readiness weekly.
Interview, hire, train, and evaluate management staff; address performance issues.
Ensure adherence to state/federal laws, company policies, and safety standards.
