• Interview, hire, train, and evaluate management staff; address performance issues.
• Ensure adherence to state/federal laws, company policies, and safety standards.

FUNCTION Aides General Manager in completing operational requirements through delegation to management team; follows up on work results Oversees and directs Feed Lot management team in absence of General Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

Undergraduate degree in Animal Science Ag Economics or related field; and 3 years related feedlot experience andor training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Supervisory Experience Knowledge of basic businessaccounting Knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; and Database software Ability to multitask Valid drivers license Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages rations and proportions to practical situations
